American Credit Cards for Canadian students?
Hi! I’m a resident of New York state but am going to university in Canada. I plan to come back to the states for graduate school and went to canada because it was the least expensive of my education options. But because I want to establish credit in America, I’d like to get an American credit card. The problem is that I do not work and am a student but on all of the student credit card applications, they ask for a school in the united states. Mine however, is in canada. I have also tried applying for regular credit cards (not for students) but have been rejected because I do not have any credit history. Does any one know of a credit card company that would be willing to give me a credit card? Please help. I’d like to get this taken care of before going back to school in the fall. Thanks.
Failed to get approval for credit card application!!WHY so difficult??
I’m new in united states and have applied for credit card for 2 times few months ago and were rejected by banks. Is that because of no creditable record in united states so that i don’t have enough qualification for applying credit card in here?
What should I do to ensure to get approval for applying credit card?
How so that the indonesian citizen could have the credit card?
How so that the Indonesian citizen could have the credit card capital one ?. At the time of this Capital One only served the application of the credit card for the United States resident then ?
If they are only allowing US citizens to get the card at this time, then you can’t get the card. There is nothing you can do, unless you want to become a US citizen.
Try for a secured credit card. Take like $300. Go to a bank and apply for the secure credit card. If they accept you, they take the $300 and hold it as a deposit against your card. You get a card that has a $300 limit on it. You can use this to build your credit. Be sure to ask them if they report the credit to the credit reporting companies. I have heard that some banks do not. That might not be true but it never hurts to ask. If one bank turns you down then find another. Sooner or later one will accept your application.
Odds are the secure card will work. It is a much safer arrangment for the banks. They will not give you credit over what they are holding. If you do not pay them back then they can use the deposit to close the account and they do not lose any money.

Im in the process of doing research to more from Canada to the United States. Ive been calling all kinds of places, trying to find the right forms. and i feel like im being pushed around in a circle. does anyone know the BEST way to start this process. Or a website, or a phone number to get the legal documents? Ive already been on most sites for this. And most application sites need a credit card number but i dont know which one to trust. Most of them ask for an American address as well.
