AT&T & Verizon To Introduce Credit Card Payments Via Smartphones

Recently, Bloomberg hasreported that AT&T and Verizon, the nation's leading cellular phone service providers, are planning to revolutionize the way Americans charge their purchases to credit cards. Through smartphones, the companies hope to give consumers the option to pay with their devices, as opposed to using the cards they tote around in their wallets or purses.

"This is a potentially huge opportunity for AT&T and Verizon to get into the payments game," PRTM consulting firm partner Dan Hays told CNN. "It creates an opportunity for wireless operators to become credit card companies."

According to PCWorld, smartphones already hold an enormous amount of personal data. The question will be whether consumers choose to trust having their information transferred to credit card companies and banks via their cellphones.

In the long run, giving consumers easy access to their credit cards may help consumers pay their debts more quickly. Because the goal is to make all banking and transaction needs accessible on a smartphone, consumers will be able to make payments with a few keypad clicks.

Unpaid credit card debt is one of the quickest ways to cause credit score damage. Consumers who stay on top of their payments, on the other hand, can build a good credit history over time.

JaredCo LED light color alert free app for blackberry?
My BlackBerry broke a few days ago so I had a new one shipped and just got it today. One of the first things I did was go to the app store to download the Who Is It- LED Color Light Alerts for Contacts free app. On my other blackberry, when I had the app, there were 10 colors. Purple, red, light pink, hot pink, orange, yellow, green, dark blue, light blue and white. I downloaded it on my new one without a thought, and when I ran the app to apply it to my contacts, there were only four colors! blue, green, white, and yellow. I am very upset by this because I know my mom isn’t going to use her credit card to buy a 99 cent application for my phone. Does anyone know why this is or if I can find the original free app anywhere? Or if there are any other free apps just like this one?

Which phone is best for business? (Iphone ,Android, or Windows)?
In the next few months I plan on starting my own brokerage firm in Sacramento and I currently have a blackberry bold. Unfortunately it does not meet the standards I would need to help me run my firm. I am currently using the verizon network. And I am torn between upgrading my phone to an iPhone 4 (which I am worried about since apple is bound to come out with a new one within the next few months and i need one in a month). Or an android phone and a windows phone. When you give me your opinion please give me a legitimate reason. Also I currently have an iPad 2, are there any applications that would allow my clients to sign documents, credit card transactions, etc.

Is there a password keeper application for the iPhone?
hey look my second question. right!

so I bought my mom an iPhone instead of the blackberry ( I ended up paying the retail amount but it’s all good she deserves it). Right now, she’s saving her usernames and passwords from emails and Credit Cards on the notes application. But I told her not to save it there because if anyone ever wants to touch her phone or look at it, someone might be crazy enough to copy all that down. On my blackberry curve I have password keeper which keeps passwords and important stuff (which asks for a password before even getting into the application itself).

So is their a password keeper application for the iPhone?

Okay…I’m going to be very evasive with this…but it depends on what particular applications you’re looking for. All three platforms offer a level of productivity. Now going in-depth to what you were looking for, on your iPad, I’m not so sure which will best suite your needs. I would suggest possibly coming up with applications that you know you’ll need, and searching the market on each device to see if it has it. Naturally, Windows Phone 7 is targeted toward enterprise users (or at least try) However, how beneficial it really is can be argued. With Android, there are many applications that may or may not suite your needs, as the same with Apple’s IOS software. The only reason in which I would lean toward Android, other than my personal bias for it, is that it offers an easy way to download all sorts of files, and transfer them back and fourth via your pc. But IOS and Android both offer software to synchronize back and fourth.

So….lol…I don’t know if that helped, but whatever plateform will suite your needs the best.
